Meet the Artist.

Hi there! My name is Ariel Stone, and I am a 26 year old artist living in Phoenix, Arizona. I’ve grown up here my entire life, and have always been inspired by our beautiful, unique desert foliage. Art has always been an outlet for me, and a very therapeutic one at that. It makes me so fulfilled to share professionally what’s always been a lifetime pursuit. If you are new to my work, I create portraits of women and plants, with a blend of femininity and empowerment throughout.

Since the time I was very young, I was always focused on art, using whatever tools I could get my hands on. My earliest memories of creating art were with my color pastels, constantly practicing drawing big bouquets of pink and blue flowers when I was about seven years old. I’ve grown up seeing my grandmother’s classical oil paintings hanging in beautiful gold frames on the walls in our home. They always felt monumental to me, and I wanted to be like her one day. She was a very talented painter, and there’s no doubt that my artistic talent stems from her. It’s a special bond that connects the two of us, despite never having the privilege to know her personally. Although she passed before I was born, I’d like to think that she’s proud of me for utilizing my artistic talent, and sharing it with the world.

I’ve always been passionate about women’s empowerment and confidence, which is why I think it’s only natural that a variety of women are at the forefront of my work. Women are dynamic, beautiful beings and I love portraying them in different ways through my art. In addition, plants and desert foliage have always been an inspiration to me. I’ve worked for an environmental nonprofit for years, and plants have always surrounded me in my home, my work, and in my overall lifestyle. Both women and plants are beautiful and powerful in their own fascinating ways, so the intertwining of the two in my art feels like magic to me.

It’s my hope that people will find a special place for my art in their home, office, room, business, or whatever space they are able to call their own. I hope it makes others feel happy and empowered when they look at it. Most of all, I hope my art inspires others to be creative, and live a beautiful, bright life.
